These unusual lodgings were named after one of its illustrious 19th century occupants: Auguste Pavie, France’s first ambassador to Laos. The interior décor tastefully mixes colors and materials as well as styles, using both contemporary furniture and period paneling, reflecting a multitude of epochs, starting with the 15th century, when the building was erected.
Both warm and understated, the salon features soft armchairs by the fireplace, where you can relax before you go out and explore the town’s narrow streets and historic architecture.
