La Joconde at the Louvre Museum"Culture is not simply merchandise" as it is revealed by the reopening of the new bookstore and giftshop of the Louvre Museum, after two years of renovation.

the Venus de Milo painted in silverThe bookstore and giftshop is organised into large open spaces, on each side of the passage, which drives from the Carrousel du Louvre to the pyramide.
The interior design is made of light wood which creates a peacefulness and soothing atmosphere.
At the end of December, the Allée du Grand Louvre will be transformed into a sparkling walkway under the starry sky that's being created, to let visitors discover this new retail space.

Jewellery, personal accessories, decorative objects and homewares are presented on the ground floor; books, casts and pieces of art will be discovered upstairs, accessible by a wide escalator.
A children's area has been created with cultural games and princess dresses, so that parents can take the time.

The Louvre Museum has launched a limited edition of the Venus de Milo in pop colours, inspired by the coloured sculptures of the ancient times and the Winged Victory is available in silver or gold.
Special services are dedicated to VIP visitors: all the sculptures from the Louvre Museum can be replicated and shipped around the world and an exclusive visit of the moulding shop will be proposed by the team of the boutique.
