La Corne d'Or—a designer bed and breakfast in the north of France

facade of the Corne d'Or in Arras, designer bb in the North of FranceLa Corne d'Or is a designer bed and breakfast hideaway in Arras, near Lille in the north of France

A charming setting: an elegant townhouse whose origins date to the 18th century, located in the historic heart of the city, just a few meters from the Grand’Place and the Place des Héros with their majestic baroque façades.
Named after the building that originally stood on this site back in 1394, this private townhouse has been transformed into a stylish guesthouse. On the ground floor, the décor in the common areas is exceptional: Louis XV boiseries in the sitting room; traditional terra cotta tiles in the hallways; compass rose hardwood floors; and photo and painting exhibits on the walls.
The rooms are a mix of history and architecture, where marble mantelpieces and restored parquet floors mix with contemporary objects and fabrics, creating a link between yesterday and today.
La Corne d'Or, an esthetic and epicurean setting where the past subtly colors the present.
