In 1984, Olivier Leflaive, with the help of his brother Patrick and his uncle Vincent, decided to start a vineyard by acquiring vines in the Puligny Montrachet, Mersault 1er Cru, Chassagne-Montrachet, and burgundy "appelations." La Maison d’Olivier Leflaive is part of this wine estate—a 17th century building with an impeccably restored façade with triangular pediments. There is also an interior garden and a lounge area with original trompe l’oeil frescos where wine tastings take place.
In the rooms, it’s the light that sculpts the space. Comfortable alcoves invite relaxation. Rooms have subtle decorative themes in beige and gold: Baroque, Opal, Retro, with at touch of purple in the ones with a Pop ambiance. Interior designer Carole Leflaive has given each room its own decorative personality, enhancing her compositions with one-of-a-kind objects hunted down in boutiques all over Europe. Meals are traditional and welcoming, each carefully matched with fine wines.
