La Maison Molière, luxury bed and breakfast in Arles (Roquette quarter), between Provence and the Camargue
La Maison Molière is first and foremost a private residence, quite refined and special. It belongs to an epicurean, originally from Saint-Tropez, having returned to the gentle pleasures of life in the South after many years in Paris. Two 18th century town houses in the heart of Arles have been tastefully converted and joined together, providing more than 500 square metres of living space, with large en suite bedrooms, an internal courtyard and a lounge area. The furniture, paintings and sculpture are the personal collection of Michel Montagnier, who makes a point of welcoming all guests himself: "My main idea when I created this house was to make it a place to receive people, welcoming them to your home like friends, and to take the time to live and enjoy life..."
La Maison Molière is about winding down, relaxing, slow food, peace and quiet, with a smattering of serendipity.
