Perche Contemporary Art Biennial, from June 30th to July 14th, 2013
Multiple sources of inspiration are behind this art festival, where Impressionist paintings, lent by the a Japanese Museum, will be exposed.
The works of Norman artists such as Corot, Monnet, and Eugène Boudin will be shown in honor of the festival’s setting in Normandy.
Aboriginal art never ceases to inspire contemporary artists, and 30 very large paintings will be on display. An expert in Australian native art will be on hand to comment on the works and offer explanations.
For some years, comic book graphics have been recognized as a fine art form, called the “9th Art” in France, after cinema (7th) and television (8th). Renowned comic book artists will be present to sign original drawings and meet with the public.
Contemporary painters, sculptors, performance, and visual artists—a total of 45 creators will bring the 4th edition of the Perche Contemporary Art Biennial to life. The Perche, a tranquil region where there is no border between Art and the Art of Living.
