Horses in the city, under the Eiffel Tower

Longines International Jump"Horses in the city": the sentence appears on the projection screen when I come into the Café de l’Homme for the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping launching.

Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping"Horses in the city is the final goal, obstacle jumping is a very demanding sport, which is still little known, when a rider and a horse jump over a 6-foot obstacle; the event is open to everyone, stands are free during the three days of the event."

It will take place end of June on the Champs-de-Mars in Paris, and the obstacles, inspired by the mythic Eiffel Tower, will be designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte.
A yound lady wearing a uniform stands near me : she is captain of the Ecole Militaire, where horse boxes will be parked.
Longines, privileged partner of the event, is official supplier for the timing service. Alain Ducasse involved with Frédéric Vardon will open an ephemeral gourmet restaurant, with organic seasonal products, fishes from reasoned fishing and vegetable from local producers.

JonOne, american graffer, who designed the event poster, says a few rejoicing words in French: "I wanted to do something joyful because it is fun to be in Paris, horse is a mythic animal for me, so I don’t like to eat it. When I was young, I painted on iron horses, today I have painted a horse."

Guillaume Canet, sitting next to Philippe Rozier, answers to a question: he would be happy to participate, but he has no horse. His neighbour offers to find him one and the announcement is made.
