Pasta party on the left bank of Paris
Pasta party on the very select left bank of Paris, the invitation of Le Bon Marché and La Grande Epicerie de Paris had every advantage to seduce guests.
The Italian family, timeless basis of the life in the Peninsula, will be celebrated until October 22, 2017 by the very Parisian store. The decor is resolutely Italian: XXL black and white photos on an orange background, sunny coloured exhibition booths with Petrol blue shutters remind us of the houses of a typical village. In the center of the store, a diptych by Edoardo Tresoldi which evokes two Renaissance domes partially disappeared, is suspended from the ceiling, as "architectural elements which have lost their structure in time and remind one of bygone days".
The exhibition is an eclectic and joyful mix: electric mini-car with mulicolor kick boards inside, placed next to rare ceramic tiles, featuring vintage motifs, and a bit further piles of vintage paper notebooks. The chosen brands presented are mostly family business and express all trends, from the know-how that has been passed down from generation to generation to ultra-contemporary fashion labels.
The Pasta Party is in full swing, offering hot and cold pasta tastings, wines and ice creams and would not be completed without the traditional family photo: nothing better than the decor of an Italian kitchen. Ustensils and aprons are lended to the candidates on condition that taking an expressive pose with accessories. In the center of the store, musicians in wearing a three-piece suit, and singers in 1950s dress interpret classic songs, without taking themselves too seriously.
